1 Before the program

A career gap after full-stack engineering

Sai had already built a career as a full-stack engineer. Then life took her out of the workforce for a stretch and coming back to a fast-moving tech market, especially one now shaped by AI, felt like starting over.

Before Agile Academy, Sai's biggest question wasn't whether she could code.. it was whether her experience still counted as a Business Analyst.

"Coming back after time away, I wasn't worried about whether I could still write code. I was worried whether anyone would give me the chance to prove it."

She needed more than Business Analyst training. She needed a structured way back in: current, AI-native BA & Product Owner practices, a real product to point to and confidence to interviewing for BA/PO roles.

1
The market had moved on

AI-assisted development, new tooling, and higher expectations meant her prior experience needed a refresh.

2
No recent portfolio to show

A gap in the timeline meant no fresh project to demonstrate current, hireable skills to employers.

3
Confidence, not just skill

Re-entering after time away meant rebuilding the confidence to interview and negotiate.

2 What she learned and built

Training, hands-on practice and an externship

Agile Academy's path isn't lecture-and-quiz. Sai worked through Learn → Practice → Prove It, then applied everything in a live externship (Rivo AI)
She built and shipped a real project end to end as an AI Business Analyst

Step 1

Learn

Step 2

Practice

Step 3

Prove it: the externship

Watch Sai walk through what she built

In this demo, Sai presents the project she built during her externship.. the same kind of work that gave her something concrete to show employers, instead of just a story about a gap.

  • Built and shipped independently, with mentor support
  • Presented and defended live, like a real work review
  • Became the centerpiece of her portfolio and interviews
3 Getting an offer

From externship demo to a real offer

Sai turned her externship project and renewed confidence into into an offer. In her own words, here's how she got there!

Offer received

"Agile Academy gave me a project I could actually talk about in interviews.. not just a list of skills, but proof I could do the work. That's what turned conversations into an offer."
